In-kind donations – How you can support us

The Pirita Children Association supports children from the most impoverished marginalized community in Baia Mare, helping them gain access to their fundamental rights: the right to development, protection, and participation.

For over 10 years, we have been running programs that support children’s well-being from birth throughout their educational journey (this year, for the first time, we are supporting two high school students).

To be able to continue these programs, we gratefully accept in-kind donations, new or in very good condition, tailored to the specific needs of each program.

Program for Mothers and Babies

This program supports young mothers and their children during the first years of life.
Useful donations:
  • diapers (all sizes)
  • wet wipes
  • baby hygiene products (wash gel, shampoo, cream)
  • baby clothes (0–2 years)
  • blankets, towels, baby bedding

Early Childhood Education Program (Preschool Children)

Through this program, young children have access to education, play, and balanced development.
Useful donations:
  • school supplies (markers, colored pencils, paper, modeling clay)
  • books for young children
  • educational toys
  • clothing and footwear for preschool-aged children
  • small backpacks

Day Center Program for School-Age Children

School-age children receive educational support, meals, and personal development activities.
Useful donations:
  • school supplies (notebooks, pens, pencil cases)
  • backpacks
  • reading books
  • clothing and footwear for school-age children
  • educational games and materials for creative activities

“School of Courage” Program for Girls

A program dedicated to girls, focused on building self-confidence, personal hygiene, and health.
Useful donations:
  • personal hygiene products (soap, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant)
  • intimate hygiene products
  • new underwear
  • school supplies and educational materials

Program for Children with Parents in Prison

This program provides emotional and material support to children facing extreme vulnerability.
Useful donations:
  • school supplies
  • clothing and footwear
  • personal hygiene products
  • books and educational games

Volunteer Program

Volunteers are an essential part of our community and daily activities.
Useful donations:
  • educational and creative materials
  • equipment for activities (games, consumables)
  • stationery supplies

Where and when can material donations be delivered

All the material donations listed above can be brought every Friday to the “Atelier” Day Center, located at 65 Victor Babeș Street, on the ground floor of Aurel Vlaicu Technical College, Baia Mare.

To help us organize efficiently and ensure fair distribution to the children, we kindly ask that all donations be clean, in good condition, and fully usable.
